    Was her name Janice?

My friend dated a girl once who bought a new Buick Grand National not long after they started dating. We called her Pit Stop Patty.

Sourcing better steel for the frame and body would have helped. Better paint too. And steel cylinder sleeves if they were going to insist on an aluminum block. I'm glad you think they looked good. They were butt ugly. However, my dad apparently thought they were easy to work on.

I'm in the same boat. That car presaged a whole segment, which may be unique in all of Renault's history. As I noted a few pages back, though, even the regular R5 isn't quite my idea of the absolute worst car--certainly not either of the turbo versions, even if they're no more reliable than most Renaults.

Too bad they didn't sell more Freelanders. You could have 9 kids and pay for everyone's college from servicing them.

LOL. Maybe damn good looking is a stretch, but the early flat-front design had a certain charm, especially dropped with some nice rims. Kind of a 2nd gen Camaro vibe, which I guess could also be considered a bad thing.

I kinda like the looks of the B210. My uncles owned 510s, and I've always been a fan. One of them had a box-stock orange 510 with the honeycomb hubcaps that sat in my granddad's driveway for years collecting dust and old newspapers. I relentlessly bugged my uncle to give or sell it to me and he refused. They ended up junking it when the old man died.

I had the 318is, drove it from Telluride to Zijuatenajo and back one spring with a young buck friend of mine.

Thankfully only one minor air hose incident in the entire 2000 miles. The locals were fascinated with it, not many old Beemers down there 20 years ago (or white girls driving them for that matter).

My Dad bought a Plymouth Volare back in the day to replace his old Renault wagon (that old Renault would go almost anywhere in Northern Wisconsin, even muddy logging roads)

That Volare was such a piece of shit I can only remember a few times riding in it, but I do remember all the problems we had with it and later found out that it had been in a wreck and totaled which would explain why the panels never quite matched and the frame was a little skewed. I'm pretty sure Dad bought it new, but the dealership was a bunch of scumbags.

Fuck. That was my first car. 318 bmw
Good fun solo. With a stick.
Any passenger made it a dog.

It also taught me never to drop the clutch if the rwd tires break loose in snow!

    And it was reliable!

My favorite detail of that show was the sound that thing made. Really added authenticity, especially whenever he had to gun it.

    The worst car

I could see it being fun with a stick and I’d cruise it down to Mexico too! Must have been a slow ride back into telluride up the hill, it looks like it made this list for pure misrepresentation!!

It’s probably one of the best cars in the book though - wait til you see the next batch tomorrow...
