Why the delay in "new posts"

I use new posts fairly often, and if I posted in a thread, I used to then click on "new posts" and there it would be. Now I do the same thing, and it's as if the thread doesn't exist. If I go to "paddedroom" or whereever, it's there, but not i "new posts".

If this is the new reality, how long is the delay? I liked it the old way

It's not a delay, threads will not show until someone else posts in them.

It was brought up before, doesn't appear it's going to change.

When that first thread was posted, I went through the changelog to see if something in the last version changed anything. Couldn't find anything relevant. I'm currently rebuilding the search index to see if that helps.

Otherwise I might have to change that New Post link. Not sure what it needs to be yet.

I never thought of it that way but I guess you're right.

    The delay is dumb.
