    Why? Just why?

    Here's a thought Damien. Turn your phone, computer, or ipad off. Now grab a bike with two 26" wheels and go for a ride.

    See, doesn't that feel better?

    I care, because 26" is literally under supported by the bike industry, to the point that it's actually costing them overall sales.

    NO 26", NO SALE.

    Yeah... well caring ain't gonna change anything.

    That said - 27.5" wheels are fuckin' HUGE. I can't even imagine what it's like on 29" wheels.

    Anybody who bought into the 27.5" fad has proven to be a complete idiot - it's obvious now that if you want "muh fastest bike!!" you need 29" - period.

    27.5" = FAIL.

    27.5" = DEAD.

    27.5'' = WORST OF BOTH.

    If you want a fun, great handing bike for normal trail riding, you need a 26" bike, just like always. There's a massive, underserved demand for 26" bikes and frames right now, people are resorting to the used market to get them. Others are straight up avoiding buying a new bike. If the bike industry doesn't want to undergo a 30% contraction in the next 2 years, they'll get their head out of their ass and provide 26" again.

    650b is and always will be an obscure French touring bike wheel size.

    NO 26", NO SALE.

    I actually hope you're right.

    However, my next bike purchase will be a brand-spanking-new 27.5" model. Because there IS no 26" option any more...

    26" Banshee Spitfire or Rune, with a 26" Pike or Fox 36. 26" Flow Mk3's.

    But it would be nice to have bit more variety.

    It's a deal-breaker. I'm not going to pick one of two models of bike JUST because they have 26" wheels.

    Nah, this is more about the relative unimportance of this topic than any personal philosophy.

    They're also really nice bikes with good suspension and modern geometry, well reviewed and reasonably priced. Check them out.

    They are. Nice weight this year too and still built to last. Unfortunately no Canadian distribution + usd equals crazy price. I had 26" wheels on mine. 27.5 now because they're better......everywhere

    Hay Damian, I have yet another subject for your outrage.

    Lot of new bikes being made without a Front Derr. tab which forces you to us 1X.

    Doesn't that just piss you off?

    My last 26er was a Spitfire with a 160 Pike. Holy fuck that bike was fun.
