    Enjoyed it.

Blacklisted director Jules Dassin's (The Naked City; Rififi) 1964 international cast filled caper classic TOPKAPI just popped up on Prime.
It is a seminal entry in the heist genre.

Anybody watch a Patrick Melrose? Looks like a newer release starring Benedict Cumberbatch.

Edit: First episode is a wild ride.

    Amazon Prime Instant Video Rec

Just finished Antrum. Kinda creepy. If you don’t hear back from me tomorrow, the film lived to its billing as I’ll be dead, or possibly in the woods fucking a deer corpse.

On the other hand, this was one the wife and I can watch. Right in her wheelhouse and not too corny for me.

    Nerdgasm Excelsior:

Slick, well-made doc that is surprisingly heartfelt.
Contains some great interviews with pretty much everybody involved in the making of the film, plus lots of great back story and behind the scenes insight.

You can watch all of the old Columbo episodes (with commericals unfortunately) through Amazon Prime. Wife and I get a lot of mileage out of those.

    You still alive, man?

Might be a case of which came first, the chicken or the egg, but this similar sounding film is also on Prime:

Prime has a treat for Ween fans, Ween Live at the Cats Cradle, from '91 or '92 (it's actually a collection of videos from multiple concerts, which happens to have been bundled with a live album that was recorded at Cats Cradle). This is early period Ween, definitely quite "brown", before they had a full band and a semi-conventional rock concert sound.

Paul Verhoeven is perhaps best known for his Hollywood output, films like Basic Instinct, Starship Troopers, and the oft-maligned, but seriously classic, Showgirls.
Yet prior to descending upon the City of Angels in 1985, Verhoeven was perhaps the preeminent director in Holland. If you have never seen any of his early, seminal films such as A Soldier Of Orange, Spetters, or The Fourth Man, do yourself a favor and track them down.

In the early 2000s Verhoeven returned to his native Holland where he made this WWII thriller, originally released in 2006, and it one of the best of his career.

    Killer Kung Fu Kraziness!

If you find yourself hankering for some martial arts mayhem of the Old School variety, but with a macabre and weird twist, then HUMAN LANTERNS should fit the bill.

Without giving too much away, the story is about two egotistical lords in constant competition with one another. While they are trying to one-up each other a monkey skull Bigfoot villain is kidnapping their women and doing unspeakable things to them. Much flying fisticuffs and swordplay and deadly fighting fan action ensues.

Based on “Stranger in a Strange Land”? Or something new?
