RIP Epicski
Forum shutting down. Things are about to get a lot worse around here. Expect lots of M series members. Most members may migrate to Pugski, but that forum is even lamer than epic.

My favorite recollection of EpicSki is the thread where a couple of dorks tried to school Grant Gunderson on how to take pics.

No--ski forum is the wrong forum. But I'll delete this thread later, after the world has a chance to see what a JONG you are.

That thread brought back some memories- I had completely forgotten about Epic.
AC...he was a k00l cat. "AC" refered to his real-life initials and his first name was Roman (Aurelius? Augustus?). Place was good when he was in charge. Dchan was a total cunt, however. And that chick who took over moderating...Nooloo Booloo...something like that. That bitch can go die in a fire, too.Daniel Ortega eats here.

Will we see the return of Greg from Alpinezone then?

I stopped with epic when I was told that I couldn't list something for sale w/out paying a fee.

Whaaaat? It's shit like that that serve as reminders of how uniquely "special" (I use that term in its varying meanings btw) these forums are. I'm glad I never stumbled over there except to see where the Ben Gay smell was coming from. No, instead I foolishly started my skiing internet forum experience over on the early days of newschoolers; before it reeked of Axe body spray and tall-Ts.
It's like today I have to remember to reel it in before posting a hilarious comment on a story about an Asian lady driver who wrecked her Tesla on a motoring enthusiast forum. The unique brand of humor here is surprisingly not widely accepted in other corners of the internet.
That, or assholes are way more puckered everywhere else than they are here.I still call it The Jake.

RIP Epicski
Classic...from the epicski obit thread...
You guys are the nicest and most helpful of all the forums I belong to regardless of subject. I put up one post on TGR and I lost count how many times I was called a JONG. Never felt welcome and I think they get off on that. I hope Vail buys them next.

Yeah, I can't say anything. Joined both forums about the same time but spend way more time here than there. Actually, there was a time when nolo first was selling Epic that she asked if I wanted to become the new administrator/babysitter. I don't know shit about technology and didn't want to be that close to it. My reasons for being there were to share our filming trips which I'm really not doing anymore so it didn't make sense. Glad I dodged that.
