Wow. That's kind of disappointing, although I haven't frequented there too much over the past while. Kind of interesting that they would disappear with over 55,000 registered members. Tough to monetize a board like that (or this).

There's some overlap -- from about 95mm-105mm. Narrower than that == EpicSki. Fatter than that == TGR.

[/sheds virtual tear] I was kinda surprised to see Phil commenting that he warded off attacks from the old Powder site.

I'm assuming he means DDOS or something electronic and not the endless dissing the maggots have dished out.

    Bueller?

I actually read that thread (and feel stupider having done it), but it seems like they're blaming Vail (indirectly) for buying the site and more or less shutting it down. At least it wasn't KSL...

Thats a shame it sounds like they are losing the whole history / data. Lots of good info buried in those boards.

If you will miss all the threads/posts about helmets, skiing IN the powder, and Bonafides, then fear not. There are plenty of those at Pugski.

Word. I never had a login over there, but googling various tuning/mounting topics over the years led to Epic threads here and there that were useful.

    Funny and true.
It was an interesting night. I had a big glass of bourbon, two computers up and between deleting posts and rebuttles on Powder...it was actually fun. It was a hazing and after an hour or so, it got pretty light hearted and we all actually shared a few laughs.

Epic and TGR complemented each other, TGR is a bar that serves food, Epic was a restaraunt that served drinks. There are more skiers that went to both sites that care to admit. I will say, that while there were barbs thrown back and forth, there was a ton of respect too.

It's the debate over 0.0001 degree of canting or base edge angle, the custom wax blend recipes, and the debates over what PISA level people are that will be a real shame to lose.

    Is my sarcasm showing?

This. WAY more. It was kind of amusing once you started to connect the dots, actually.
