I do too, but she just talked about how her knee was swelling and bothering from travel and lack of sleep. Sleep will be in short supply up there. I'm rooting for her.

    Interesting.

The last thing they mention is the recommendation to buy trip insurance in case of illness or injury. In at least a couple Instagram posts CG said the ski accident happened the day after she'd made her final payment on the expedition. Guess no trip insurance.

Knee swollen on the trip over there does not bode well. But she's stubborn and tenacious and I wouldn't bet against her. I hope she doesn't push it too far. Main thing is to come back alive.

Flu went through our house again last week. Both the kids got it 16 and 9. Flu shots so they got better in 2 days but with lingering chest issues but we are at 717 feet above sea level not 17000. Wish her the best.

Gotta admit...pretty tired of Caroline playing the victim.
    So old.
How 'bout something other than "am, too".
Our sports heroes aren't always crusading for our sympathy.
They are actually inspiring and uplifting us.
    "Climb for equality"?
    Which kind?
    How ridiculous she is.

Climbing to raise awareness of the struggle white women have in living a life of sponsorships and endless outdoor adventures.

My good friend Crazy Terry and his girlfriend were in Nepal this fall on a self guided trek to 18k plus and they both had a virus/altitude sickness and they talked about how they were soooooo cold even with rented rooms in tea houses until they acclimated and worked through the virus. This couple heats their house with wood and keep it at like 50 in the winter at best and they laugh at me if I pull a blanket over me when I stay with them.

I think we can give CG a pass for rocking an electric blanket no? You wouldn't?

I think you just don't understand how sexism works.

Just because someone is married and is "a nice guy" to you IRL doesn't mean that blatant sexism that you all have displayed on the internet is ok.

For people who complain so much about snowflakes you sure are all easily triggered by a few Instagram posts.
