I was all set to be there along with a crew of friends but life got in the way at the last second, so I'm out.

    I should be there!

I further assume we're doing the usual Friday evening meeting at Roberto's in town. Let me know if we're moving somewhere else.

I'll be camping, likely off the Loop Road if there's any clear space. I'll likely ski the resort on Saturday, maybe tour Sunday depending on who's feeling like doing what.

Plenty of clear ground on the loop road, just a few patches of snow here and there in most places.

Unfortunately I am not making the mini since I will be there next weekend to run the Mammoth Half Marathon. Plan to ski Saturday, run and drink beer Sunday, and ski Monday/Tuesday if anybody is around.

I agree it is a constitutional right for Americans to be assholes...its just too bad that so many take the opportunity...

There should be people flying in from all over the country, Spats and Splat bring enough laughs for everyone so it's all good. Rolling in late if I do, I'll try to be ready for some laps tomorrow. Splat have same cell#?

Hutash should do a last minute party crashing appearance, for sure.

Damnit, Roberto's. Now I'm really bummed I couldn't make it. I often crash at the Sierra across the way and love that place.

Traffic looks like poop, probably rolling in super late. Someone message me if they're camping off the loop and know what's up ✌️

Just pulled in. Scenic loop is clear to camp anywhere.

Don't see anyone else in Roberto's, so I'll just have to polish off the duck burrito plate myself. If you get there yell "Change for a nickel" or just find the guy who tourists mistake for Plake.

If anyone showed up, I'll be at Stump lot ("the beach") tomorrow. Mango jacket, old Surface skis.

    Not paying proper attention.
Somehow thought it was next weekend - doh!
    Watching wrong thread. Yadayada.

Cindy's hamstring is still a bit tweaked from a coupla weekends ago, anyway.
But still. Sad, and a gotdamshame!
Now if anyone is still around next week...???

I am now laying on the bed convalescing.

I got a few runs with the core crew for this years Mini.

I will just say it. The day looked really bad. Wind clouds poor visibility.

Vets managed to show us a couple pretty good lines. AND THEN
The sun came out!!! Chair 23 started spinning. and the snow was good!

Today might have been the day.

I could not hang. legs of jelly. Hoping for better weather Sunday than is currently forecast.

    SPATS! dam

Made turns with Superstar - VETS - Dooky67 - Tora tora tora And others I know by real name not screen name.

I think I saw a camera come out So later maybe.

Quote of the day, for me, at least, was on one of our last runs of the day Saturday, we picked up a random guy on the chairlift. He stopped Punani after we got off the lift and asked if he was leading a clinic. He said that he'd been watching Punani skiing around with a crew behind him and was sure he was a pro. I think his exact (or close to exact) words were "I saw you on the hill and said to myself, 'If that guy's leading a clinic, I need to meet him and sign up for it now!'". Dude ended up making a coupla laps with us and slamming beers in the parking lot. Punanai may have an "off-the-books" skiing client now.

That looks like loads of fun! Would love to have been there. I didn't even make it to BBI17 or Cinco this year, I'm such a slacker.
In drove this drunken madman and stopped on a dime! Unfortunately the dime was in Mr. Rococo's pocket!
