Full Tilt Touring Boots
This won't appeal to too many Mags, but Full Tilt has a touring boot in the works.

Looks like they are using the new buckle system not the old school "track" adjustment, which I think was the best part of this boot design.

No other known info, found this on NS. Looks like replaceable soles though.

99 please and track buckle. And not yellow.
I need to go to Utah.
Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?
So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....
Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

I've worked on a pair for a Full Tilt employee - they are on the Descendent last, 102mm, and very stiff.

Why so hot for the track buckle? Those things got bent so easily.

I heard they're including a map with directions to chad's gap with each of the first 1000 pair sold actually.

Does it have removable tongue? Walk/ski mode looks like it just prevents rearward rom and tongue prevents forward rom. Like my lupo carbon ti. Great boot but walks like shit with the tongue in and skis like shit without the tongue. Both boots should have a lip on the walk/ski locker like scarpa freedoms so atleast you can ski without tongue when needed

Should be great when it's released. Bobby, I'll swing by the homeland in the next few weeks....
The tongue looks easily removable, but you need to unbuckle all the buckles unlike the Vulcan, so i bet touring does not work well with the tongue in.
At first glance, I though the tour mode was chinsey, but with the way the boot flexs on the tongue, i bet it is all that is needed. Range of motion looks close to my Vulcans, a hair heavier, but they probably ski wayyyy better(as in downhill performance), for not that much more weight.
Boots do not quite look like "dynafit" soft plastic, but definitely not "Lange plug boots" plastic. Yellow tongue is probably a flex "10" but i bet they have other compositions getting tested for a "12".
102mm last, tech inserts do not look dynafit made at the moment. Din(yellow/black) sole looks like it would work well, but it bet they have a "Vibram-like" sole that still has some kinks to iron out.
But that's all speculations

If it came in a narrow last I would be excited.

I actually saw these today, with my own eyes. I saw the wide model FT's on the guy at the next car and asked how he liked the new center buckle placement because I saw that FT was using that style on the rumored upcoming touring boot. And, he said, "like this", and turned to show me the heel. I was like WOW!! That's IT!!

I have many days in on Flexon's, in general I'm pretty big fan. i found the dalbello lupo carbon to be a great touring equivalent. The Lupo is a narrower last though, so the new FT is Likely to be a hit for skiers with wider feet.

Andrew rcv'd theses today
removable tongue which I also have in my lupo's and I really like that feature.
I can't wait to hear how these ski as I am on full tilts for my alpine boot. Had dalbello kryptons prior so I thought I would dig the lupos but they have such an uneven flex that I always feel like a gaper skiing them and have opted to mostly tour in my alping FT's and dukes
will report back after he has a chance to use them - he works the next 2 days though rats! apparently they are supposed to be slightly in the fore foot than the 1st chairs
