    Bummer!
    Rest in peace.

A long time ago, freshly back from the Pan Ams, Steve lapped me early in the penultimate lap at the Cross Nats in Plymouth Mass. Natwick, in second, had passed me in the middle of the same lap but I passed him back on the climb back to the line...sadly, by rule, I was ordered out of it. I was the last out.

Steve was so fast that only 18 riders remained of the huge field and Clark was way back in second. After the event Tilford and some of the other luminaries gabbed with locals for a bit. Good times.
The sad truth is that whine does not age well
