Seems like this calls for a Darwin Elite category: willfully ignoring the big, booming voice of Darwin the first time, refusing the gift of survival.

Another Christian martyr--sure to be beatified some day. (Do you have to be a Catholic to be a saint or will any old Christian do?).

There's a certain misogynistic, megalomaniacal national leader that would make a wonderful ambassador to this little island paradise - we can lure him in by dropping TV cameras on the beach.

4 days going through withdrawals in a mine with two others going crazy doing the same thing. And with no food and water. Sounds like heaven.

If nobody's gonna start a new thread somebody should take the "2017" off the title of this one.

2 men missing after vehicle likely falls through ice
.......The night prior, Wells asked the lodge owner, Michael Wenner, "about taking [the snowcat] out on the ice," and Wenner advised "that was not a good idea due to the weight of the snowcat," according to Taylor. (EDIT: 15,000 lbs)
Wenner said he woke up at approximately 1 a.m. to the sound of the snowcat starting up.
Monday morning, Wells' relative also came to the lodge and, on a snowmobile, located snowcat tracks leading approximately 150 yards to the middle of Island Lake and a "large hole in the ice indicating the snowcat had broken through the ice."........Best regards, Terry

Its surprising how heavy their ground force actually is. Backcountry operator here recently upgraded his old tucker snocat to a newish bombardier, and he laments how easy it is to bury where the tucker would easily float on fresh snow. Seen two piston bullies sunk in the muskeg up north as well, trying to groom xc trails through swamps.

huh I always kinda thought the idea was for them to be light on the ground.
