I recall from physics class there is a reason for things (trucks, bowling balls, etc.) going faster down a hill than up a hill. I can't remember the name of it, but it will come to me.

Parallax. But IRL--construction on 580 south of 80 (WTF--they just finished rebuilding that and they're doing it again), good luck figuring out which lane goes to WB 80 because the overhead sign splits the lanes. (After the last rebuild they painted the directions on the pavement but that's gone and the lanes are different now.)
And coming into Truckee on 80, good luck figuring out if the lane you're in is the lane that goes to the one open lane at the ag station, because the approach is a big curve.

I go faster up a hill than down, unless I'm on skis. Fucking knee.

Wait you are upset about them going 80 down the hill?

On 80 in the Sierras the trucks will go 45 in the left lane to pass a truck going 40. Trucks should only be allowed in the right lane on uphills.
