Pedroia is annoying because he argues balls and strikes every at bat. Gardner is just a better Ellsbury without the marquee name. All of these players should just rate somewhere on the Eckstein scale with Altuve being like an 11 though.

You're not gonna convince me to like him. I do recognize that he's good.

The theme of this years playoffs so far has been defensive lapses at key times. Altuve heading home in that situation was bonehead but then it's Altuve and it worked. Some guys just have a great game sense. At least two Yankees muffed that play, it can have a deflating and lasting effect.

Watching Judge's at bats against good pitchers is painful. Two strikes except on a full count and he's out. But then he has about three times the strike zone of Altuve. That matters. Really tall guys are often an experiment. Judge needs to spend his winter swinging a bat while doing drop squats, hopefully correcting his plane too.

He's kind of a red ass. It's the sort of thing that is easy to overlook or even find endearing if the guy's on your team, but is obnoxious in an opponent.

Nah he's wound tighter than most. It's him, it's how he got good, by being intense. I get it. Doesn't mean I find it endearing. Or that he or any Yankee fan should give a shit what I think. Whatever, he's good.

Re-watched that play and Correa definitely played it as close to interference without getting busted as you could. Would have been interesting if it was contested (could have gone either way), even as a Yankees fan, glad it wasn't. Like you said, just baseball Joe.

Anyone else think that Justin Turner is beginning to resemble Cousin It?

I've always respected Gardner and probably had a higher opinion of him than most Yankees fans do.

But I gotta back Ice...FUCK THAT GUY. Gardner sucks, he's another Paul O'Neil wanna be little bitch. Go stros

Yeah...Ron Darling was all over the sliding rule because he wasn't a catcher. Ask a catcher how they fared under traditional rules. With the trend away from beasts behind the plate to little guys it's in baseball's best interest.

Gardner looks a lot like the Great Gazoo from the flintstones when he takes his helmet off.

I would, but I don’t think people behind me will be happy about that sign.

    ouch.

8 nothing, Yankees after 4. Astros had a good 3+4 for a while in McHugh and mccuellars but both got injured and never came back to form. if the yanks don't give it up tonite, they could tie it up tomorrow, their likely starter peacock never impressed me.
