In other thread-related news the Tribe is really showing off their high-octane offense behind their routinely impressive starters and most intimidating bullpen.

New prediction to go with Frankie Lindor MVP: Carlos "Cookie" Carrasco Cy Young.

Holy shit this Cubs/Sox series has been fun. Lots of good ball being played.

Let's do this again in October, eh?

Definitely marquee matchup living up to the hype.
Umpires becoming more and more irrelevant the more they go to replay on close plays. Do we really need to be sure that the one guys spike came down 0.00001 seconds before the other? Make the call and play on. Or give someone 10 seconds to look at replay and make an executive decision.

    Sorry, carry on.

If Judge can just keep this going for 15-20 more years, he'll really have had a nice career.

That's some seriously bad PR the last 24 hours, Chowds.

Extra security, Jones meeting with the Sox president today... but I have to say it was pretty classy of the fans to applaud him when he came to the plate tonight. Nice way to say that you're not all assholes.

Yeah. Not a good look, but the response by the team and fans was everything you'd hope for.

    There are assholes everywhere unfortunately.

Twins with a breath of life this year. Sano is legit. The Twins version of "Big Pappi". Santana on Cy Young pace too. Fun to watch him pitch.

Playing hookie from work tomorrow to take in the day game. Gibson on the mound for us. Big L coming. Oh well. Weather will be nice.

Nice. Have fun out there! I'd love to catch a game at Target Field. Seems like a really nice ballpark on TV

Oh, Give Me A Fucking Break

    http://deadspin.com/oh-give-me-a-fuc...eak-1794889286

Here is an excerpt from The MMQB’s big feature about Tim Tebow attempting to become a baseball player. I haven’t been able to read the rest of the story, because as soon as I read this part my eyes rolled so far into the back of my head that now all I can see is my own brain stem:

Van Wagenen humored him. He organized a workout for Tebow in Florida alongside a few Cuban prospects, and after putting Tebow through a series of hitting drills, he came away … impressed. Tebow’s swing clearly needed work, but when he connected, he could really drive the ball. After watching a few drills, Van Wagenen asked Tebow if he wanted to stop. He had seen enough, and Tebow hadn’t swung in a while; his hands must have been sore. But Tebow shook him off and kept swinging. He would show Van Wagenen how badly he wanted this. Not until the workout ended did Van Wagenen notice the red seeping through Tebow’s batting gloves. He had taken so many swings that blisters on his hands had burst open, and he’d just kept going. Tebow peeled off the gloves. Blood was gushing from his palms.

    Kill me.
