Moreland is killing it at the plate, but any ball not thrown directly to him is suspect.

Probably true. Guy is amazing, but there's a whole young crop under him ready to be recognized - Lindor at the top of that list IMO.

Fun story of the night: avid powerboatsman and 40 year old soft-tosser and Eddie Vedder chum Bronson Arroyo earns a win tonight with his old club, the Reds.

Trout is the best player in the game, and I'm not sure its really even close

I cant believe Bronson Arroyo is 40. I remember drinking beers w him and Derek Lowe back at Daisy Buchanans circa 2002/2003/2004

Can't believe Trout is only 25. That's nuts.

I've always liked Arroyo, seemed like a chill dude and happy to see him take advantage of an opportunity with the Reds after 3 years out of the game.

In the "Things That Annoy You" baseball edition: watching a game played in Oakland. That incessant drumming is driving me nuts watching the Mariners-A's game.

John Adams looks at you in a disapproving manner.

From memory I think he's been beating his rally drum at every game since the 70s. While holding down his union job.

That's the American dream right there.

Was he inspired by the Todd Rundgren song?

Madison Bumgarner to the DL from a dirt bike accident?

That has to be prohibited in his contract.

That other kook with the banjo was around all the time during the good days...then he moved on. Think he even went to the Giants for awhile. Looking older in some pics, maybe he is still doing it.

But nobody beats Crazy George, the alleged creator of The Wave. Love him or hate him for that, but he used to really get the party started.

Good news Chowds. If you check out the cool science thread you'll see that you're not too far off from seeing a reanimated corpse of a dead Chinaman with Ted Williams' head raking for your team next year.

Maybe that was the real intent of that head shot at Machado. Nothing personal, we just need the body.

Ok, so now that it is sinking in, I am laughing at the thought of Teddy looking down and going all Sam Kinison on his new "Chinaman" body.

I'm not ready for the circle jerk but it's nice to see your team play as if the games in April matter as much as those in September. Wonder who told them after all of these years?

I almost referred to you in that earlier post...but you're a somewhat respectable Yankees fan if it were to exist
