Bootfitters: Which bench sander do you use?
Our shop's Porter Cable combo bench sander (SVST) just blew up, so I'm in the market for a replacement. Out of the box (four years ago), this one bogged during normal use easier than I expected, which is probably what led to its early demise. It's a 5 amp, 3/4 HP, which I would've thought to be more than enough power to efficiently grind plastic, cork, and foam.
So, what do you use? Is this as good as it gets, or is there something better out there?

Thought the title said bootlickers. I've gotta stop reading DD's posts...
Something about the wrinkle in your forehead tells me there's a fit about to get thrown
And I never hear a single word you say when you tell me not to have my fun
It's the same old shit that I ain't gonna take off anyone.
and I never had a shortage of people tryin' to warn me about the dangers I pose to myself.

It might as well say that.

When our 6 x 48 inch belt sander gave up last year we went to Home Depot and got one of these, which has worked perfectly:

But chances are this is the same sander from the same company in China for less money (I bet the Rikon is the same as well):

Nice. Going to take the $90 gamble on the WEN.
