Venezuela: failed state, crisis, etc., .... but Rum.
So my girlfriend is working with a bunch of Venezuelans and it turns out that strict currency controls and black markets makes buying local goods pretty cheap in USD.
Behold the bounty they have brought us.
Everything there plus an extra 2 bottles of the santa Teresa and another ultra añejo for $150 and I'm sure that included a margin for the couriers.
Thanks maduro!
Hard to justify buying rum from anywhere else at this point.

Looks like a nice collection. I wanted to get into drinking rum a few years back. Couldn't do it no matter how bad I wanted to be a pirate.

I dunno, but while DD is living like a prince on boiled rib eye and 6 egg omelets, shit is getting real crazy down on the streets of Caracas with bread.
