    Check the NSFW thread.

    There’s some cucumbers in there.

    Kombucha pickles actually sound tasty.

Hard no for me, dog. I wouldn't drink kombucha if it wasn't vinegar. And it having turned to vinegar completely slams the door shut. It may taste like pumpkin pie, but I'll never know because I wouldn't eat the filthy motherfucker.

Use that kombucha, it's fine. Ms Boissal is on and off with her brewing and we always end up with some turning to vinegar. I've used it all over the kitchen, the last time being as a combo with fermented hot peppers.

Remember the commercial “how long has it been since you’ve had a bowl of wolf chili?”

    “Uhhhh, 5 years”

    “Well, that’s too long.”

“Best by” does not equal “expiration date”. Definitely good to go. I would say report back if it gives you diarrhea but there’s at least a fifty percent it would do that when brand new so it wouldn’t really tell us anything

I posted that for my 19 yo. He's helping some family friends move. My concern is actually about toxins like BPA leaching out of the liner given the tomato makes it acidic.

The word you’re looking for there is “flavor”.

    Flavor.

Some arctic explorers were killed that way back in the day but I’m sure they’ve upgraded the cans in the meantime. Plus, they were surviving an iced in winter almost entirely on canned pemmican. Even back then one or two cans would probably have been fine. He’s good. Trust me. I mean most likely.

I think the book I read about it was called Icemasters. It was about an expedition to the arctic the same year that Shackleton was frozen into the Antarctic ice. Except the guys up north had no Shackleton to hold shit together and it went completely off the rails.

Imagine if it was Hormel Chili.

I’ll go on record that I’d crack a 10 year old can of Skyline Chili like it was the finest jar of Ossetra Caviar.

Anything canned that’s not bulging is edible.

I fight with my wife about “best by” date stamps.

I worked in a food bank and this was the rule. We did not throw out cans because they were past the date, only threw out the ones that were bulging.

I actually went and looked up the wolf chili commercial. The one I found says “neighbor, how long has it been since you had a hot, thick, steaming bowl of wolf brand chili?”

Everybody’s minds these days are so polluted, that would never fly.

Dry rubbed a chicken and roasted it for a few hours last night. Ate the wings and foil tented it to cool before putting it in fridge.

Found it left on the counter this morning.

    Trash?

    Soup?

    Cold cuts?

    Covered in foil after roasting?

    I’d eat it. No question
