How’s the smoke situation in PC right now? I rode on the SL foothills last night and it was like riding through a campfire. My lungs feel like shit today.

I work in the city, the inversion has made the smoke worse than in PC. Still hazy in PC, but not as bad.

Oh you are talking about the nearby Steps, not Tommy Two Steps. Now I get it! Yes that's a better way down.
Finally explored a bit past where i normally ride in PC. Trails were in great condition for this time of year. Smoke is not so bad now.
Couple days ago saw some locals heading towards the Red Bull exit, that would be a high-speed spicy encounter.

Hungry, Park City area mountain bikers: check out 11 hauz for Jamaican food for post-ride eats.
The family who opened the place are great people and it would be nice to see their restaurant get the loyal following it deserves.

Ouch. Better than a moose, though.

Wow. When I first moved here in ‘08 we were mountain biking at solitude. It was dusk, guy on a road bike goes screaming down BCC. We pull out of the lot and he and his bike are crumpled in the road. T boned a deer.
Loads of road rash, life flight but released home that night. Crazy.

Quite the lightning show in sandy last night. Might be some good dirt out there today.

Wild gooseberries, edible and quite delicious. Look for them at higher elevation, often shady locations around this time of year. Black and red currants are happening now, too.

On the way up Jenni’s, right before the short downhill section about halfway up. He sat there for about 5 minutes digging his hole.

Honey badger, obviously... Looks like he's building a jump on the trail.
