Here's one for a goat. Poor little goatie. People who owned this little 8mo guy didn't get it help after their dog mauled it. He finally made it to the rescue but by then he was in pretty bad shape.

Mick arrived at New Moon Farm Goat Rescue and Sanctuary two days after having been mauled by his own family's dogs. Not wanting to take on a vet bill, they surrendered him to a local animal control agency. Unfortunately, animal control did not provide treatment, so his wounds were left uncleaned and without antibiotics for over 36 hours.

Help Mick get his Magic Legs!

    Gofundme for a cat..

I'm still biting my tongue, trying not to respond to this person on the neighborhood email list...$7k, to save what will be a dead cat? Unbelievable really. Oh, and you want me to help pay for it.
I bet the vet and staff are laughing their asses off.

    Here's the original message...

Almost a year ago I took Hope I'm from a colony in our neighborhood. He had maggot eggs all over him, anemic, infested with fleas and worms and very under weight. It took a while to get him healthy and during that time I ended up falling in love and adopted him!

Saturday Hopes belly filled up with fluid. Sunday we went to the er vet and they drained the fluid which ended up being pus from infection. Hope has a massive bacterial infection that.called for surgery, drains, biopsy, cultures and bloodwork. Hope is actually doing amazing and blowing the vets away! This all is costing me over 7,000 dollars. We have already paid 4500 and have a lot to go since Hope is needing to.be hospitalized for 5 maybe longer days. I know I'm usually on here asking for donations for my rescues but this is my personal baby needing help this time. If you could find it in your hearts to donate

Awhile back I saw an article about a couple that had spent north of $40k on medical bills for their dog, which was some generic little yip dog. Insane. Pre-dated the GoFundMe craze, but if it had existed at the time they seemed like the type who would have set one up.

Eh. Live and let live. Lots of dumber ways to blow $7k than on a pet.

If I was spending $7K on my cat, I'd expect this at the least.

Oh? How so? We're trying to raise money for a new cat.

The owner is the "death panel" I think being realistic in these situations is important. This is plain crazy. To each their own

It's actually to each 'your' own in this case. Give me your own money to pay for my cat.

    Nope.
    Not this Korean.

Beside, I don't eat things with names.
Once you name them, they are friends, not meat.

I still feel terrible abut Lobbie the lobster.
