Powder Panic! The crowd waits for the Road to Provo to open on a sunny bluebird powder day at Snowbird Utah.

I saw Snowbird Ski Patrol starting to ski toward the rope just past the top of the Little Cloud Chair. I decided to follow a patroller past the line up of skiers and snowboarders to the rope line. Just seconds later the rope dropped and the race was on for hundreds of skiers to get first tracks on Road to Provo. I was lucky to be in the right place at the right time.

I only did one of those rope drops into there and only because I got off little cloud at exactly the right time. Not my scene. And then everyone rushes down like they can get two laps before it's tracked

I can honestly say as a passholder at Solitude, that is the reason why I do not return to Snowbird. Maybe i'm an old fuck, but that place attracts agro young dudes and middle aged douche's trying to out agro young dudes. Not for me and never really was. All that and you got one decent flatish run in.

He's a powder technician. Looks like he got stuck behind the fatty in yellow at the rope drop and had to side step back up to get on the traverse and then wedged off the traverse on the lower pitch by a few people. That looked like a blue groomer with a few inches of fresh, not that that can't be fun, but what a bunch of kooks fighting over that. I think Ray needs some different wax too, sucks getting passed in your tuck by someone standing up.
