Pull the shitter and snake it. Sounds like it is partially clogged. Have you checked all the other fixtures? You can often do this to see when the clog actually is. Pretty common issues. Think about how your waste lines connect and how the problem is actually manifesting and you'll figure it out.

It's not rocket science...it is poo.

Try a toilet snake first before pulling it.

Fuck, totally forgot about the permit. I think it'll be a *wink*wink* permit.

    Not for a second.

I knew it was cousin Eddy's fault.

That's where I am at. Odd that it seems to clog up on it's own. The other 2nd floor fixtures seem to be fine.

I used a regular plumbing snake and got a fair ways in. It seemed to be working great when I went to bed and then it was fucked when I woke up.

2 boys, 6&8. I think this all began when the older one used half a roll after he took a dump.

Or there's a collection of hot wheels in there.

No way. By pulling the old john out, it is the perfect excuse for him to install... the love toilet:

Did you try the main clean out just to be sure the problem is actually in your house?

I didn't. But this toilet is on the 2nd floor and everything else is working fine.

I'd still check it since you had a reoccurring problem. Just to make sure everything is flowing good out there before ripping the bathroom apart.

Credit card stuck halfway down the gooseneck acting like a flapper valve.

In my house it was actually a drivers license from a person I've never met.

Never did get the straight story from the three teenagers in the house.

Not this time. But I have had all the cards in my wallet inserted into a furnace grate. Apparently they were a perfect fit.

when the kids were little, there were a few electronics that mysteriouly stopped working. in desperation i would always take them apart before throwing them out. i was able to save the vcr. it was full of dvds. and the printer. a jigsaw puzzle piece accidentally fell in it. way up in it.
