Anyone have a TENS massage device?
"TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) and EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) technology " for those aching muscles and tension spots? http://www.iqmassager.com/ is one of the companies out there.
I had a really aggressive Mall kiosk worker at Christmas time suck me into a 5 minute demonstration. But of course walked away without purchasing one then. Since then I've had spent the last month or so with a lower back that was not right, I was getting a bit better with movement on the back went out for another week or so.
So what are the opinions- safe or not?

Definitely helps. Pretty much numbs the muscles by overstimulation (at least that's what it feels like). Better for you than pain meds for sure.

TENS and EMS are two different things. My wife uses a TENS for back pain--provided by Kaiser. It doesn't seem to do her much good but she keeps using it. Why don't you google the wikis and decide for yourself.

I have the Aleve "direct therapy" TENS unit, it works pretty good. 4.5 stars out of 2,000+ reviews so I guess other people like it too
