I hear Duxbury is dry, but Wompy may still be wet. Any other reports from the weekend?

Mud, mud and more mud. Actually there are some dry places because they drain well but where it's still wet it's really wet. There is still water just pumping out of the ground but that should slack off this week and things should be really really good in a few days. The NICA NY race yesterday was outrageously muddy, many of the kids bikes were disabled and dead after just a lap or two

I would think you guys are in for another round, later today or tomorrow.
I got up a 5am to torrential rain, lightning and hail hitting the sky light in the bathroom. Went back to bed.
By 7am everything had passed, but it was still quite wet on the rail trail.

Wompy was 80% dry on Sunday, should be perfect by tomorrow.

Yeah but it looks like it won't be much. 50% chance of rain through most of the northeast tomorrow.

Its dry in SE Mass; but agree on the road bike during mud season. Riding in mud just isn't very fun.

The roads around me have all gone to shit. Between londonderry and chester, route 11 is worse than a class II road and up over Mt Holly is in such poor shape as to be dangerous.

Besides, it's still ski season (for a few more days).

Agreed on ski season. I'm not done yet. Those beat to shit roads are pure pleasure on a gravel bike.

The road up to our house is an absolute disaster right now. There are at least four to five different ruts from the cars that go about half way up the wheel wells. Need some freezing nights so they can grade it.

Middlesex County was getting dry, but the rain today will soften it up some...

On the other hand, the Peepers are out, heard them on my Tuesday after work road ride. Glad I am running 28C, the paved roads around here vary from unfortunate to ridiculous!

Headed to the Catskills for a wedding this weekend. Staying near the Big Indian Wilderness area.

Never been there, have no idea what things are like in ideal conditions, or what the dirt is like now..

Is it worth it to bring bikes?

Fatsinthecats.com is the club in that area. I haven't ridden down that way but from my [limited] research, I'd say that the riding in/around Oneonta, Windham and Kingston are probably your best bets.. but all are going to be a bit of a drive. A friend rode Jockey Hill in Kingston over the weekend and said conditions were great. Not sure what the other spots would be like.

I've been traveling a bunch lately, but got into one area for a couple hours last wkend and it was a disaster from the last storm. I've never seen so many trees down across the trails. The cleanup is going to take a lot of effort from many. It wasn't too wet, but it's still fat tire season. As soon as the greens start drinking we'll be nice and dry...which is happening now.
