Disinfecting gear for fishing in Iceland?

Does anyone have any idea how I get my gear certifiably disinfected so that I can use it in Iceland?

Websites recommend veterinarians. I just got off the phone with three different vets who had never heard of such things. Any help is appreciated.

Might be easier to just buy a new pair of boots.

That's what I am beginning to think. The ambiguity of everything is ridiculous

Sounds like customs will do it for you? We use a bleach solution soak for our gear when moving between places.

Yes, I have read this, but don't want chemically-soaked gear. I am fishing on day 1 of my trip

Vet clinics would use chlorhexidine to disinfect. You can get it most places.

But yeah, prolly easier to get new boots to avoid any bullshit headache in customs.
