Things to do in Seattle this Weekend
The wife and I will be in Seattle this weekend which is the first time for both of us. We will be staying downtown with about a day and a half to kill but we do not plan to rent a car. Notwithstanding the shitty weather, what would you do for entertainment in a similar time frame? Anything cool that a tourist would not necessarily find? I know there are a lot mags in the Seattle area so any advice is appreciated. She is a big foodie and I just plan to keep a moderate buzz all weekend so any good bar recs are also appreciated.

I am sure the locals have better rec's but I went on a visit a few months ago with my girlfriend and enjoyed drinks at Radiator Whiskey and a burlesque show at the Can Can. The Ballard area of town is a great place to walk around, kinda like a mix of Berkeley/Venice/Georgetown...

Salmon & Chips + a bowl of chowder at Ivars on the waterfront, and feed some fries to the gulls, who are dainty eaters.
Pike Place Market
Space Needle
Ballard Locks? If you are into that.
Underground tour
Take a Ferry ride
Lots of other stuff...

Things to do in Seattle this Weekend
My personal favorite is the masonry wood fired pizzas awesome tap list and vinyl playing. Great joint. Another good place to get a beer is Fremont brewing and Fremont in general is a cool neighborhood. Also alki beach and beveridge place pub if you make it to west Seattle

Things to do in Seattle this Weekend
Not to shit on this but I think he's looking for stuff that doesn't show up on page 1 of google.
Here's my analog.
Fish and chips: go to Pacific Inn in Fremont and have a stiff drink in that dive with great food.
Market: go to the Melrose market on cap hill after eating oysters next door at Taylor seafood. The market has great meats and cheeses.
Ballard: if you've'nt'd enough seafood yet, you can't miss Walrus and Carpenter. Or get a bloody and biscuits at Hattie's. Skeeball at Kings. Or stop in at my bro in laws bar for music and drinks: Conor Byrnes.
Underground Tour can be cool. Grab a drink at the Diller Room and a pork chop at Lecosho before or after.
Ferry Ride: takes you out of the city, so just take the west Seattle ferry and then make your way to alki for some beachiness or the a hidden flat pizza gem at pizzeria 22.
Lots of other stuff: yes

I didn't read all of this, and it may have been said already, but UMI SAKE HOUSE has like the best sushi evvvaaar.
and also Auvgeek and I went on our second date there, and he wore bright neon yellow super-short running shorts, and they served us anyway without batting an eyelash.
So in summary: amazing, world-class sushi alongside excellent custy servicing. Wins."In the end, these things matter most: how well did you love? How fully did you live? How deeply did you let go?" - Buddha

Radiator Whisky +1 (or Matt's in the Market next door)
Eat at the bar at Loulay - good cocktails, interesting food
Canon - cocktails and food
Brouwers - Belgian food, hundreds of beers
Good Bar - Pioneer Square gastropub
Try the Skyview Observatory at the Columbia Tower (73rd floor) for lunch if there is decent visibility - highest view in Seattle http://www.skyviewobservatory.com/#/about

Fish and Chips - Nosh food truck. Trust me I know about this shit.
For quick lunch at Pike Place the Market Grill
Underground tour is excellent. Even if it sounds and at first seems too touristy.
If you do Ride The Duck tour I will hunt you down and kill you.
The new MOHI location is worth a visit.
