Great weekend for BBI17. Friday was bigly iced up and the hill was in prime shape to administer the classic Alpental Beatdown. Then the bigly snow came in and 37" piled up in 37hrs.... which was nice to bury the ice, but then every damn powder technician in Pugetopolis showed up to slow the flow. Nice to meet many new faces and link turns with some ripping skiers. Next year I'll have to make a better effort to get a valley tour going for the other agoraphobics like myself.
Move upside and let the man go through...

I'm in. Wawawa and I had a nice picnic tour to SL Divide Friday morning. It would have been primo Saturday morning but my buds and the other mags hit the lifts.

What about a Thurs - Sat situation next year? I enjoyed the short lift lines and mellow vibe of Friday this year.

Weekdays for BBI would be great, and more conducive to skiing together as a group.

Pretty sure that fact that Mother Nature covered the hill in a sheet of blue ice helped that.
I'm down for that idea. Only issue was this year the deepest snow was Sunday. The lift lines cleared at 11 for ski on laps after that.

Our house filled up Thursday eve as well steve.

Agreed ACH, as I kept missing the cycle and didn't get to ski with many people. My timing was all whacked and I had pow on the brain sat and sun.

Not sure who was on the moments, I never skied with them.

Love that the majority of the skis pictured either had pivots or STH/916s.

Excellent TR, Norseman. Also that random bird photo in line right after I gave Slackey the chair 2 single opportunity of the season, priceless

Good memory, but that pic isn't me.

My gaping was lookers right of where that guy is, between those little trees and the bigger ones. I couldn't override my perception of a flat landing, so I hit the abort button, then I had trouble crawling back up on the ice. It sucked to be me, but, hey, at least I didn't get hurt.

It was great meeting some of the mags in lot 4. And the delicious brat really hit the spot.

    Aha you showed up!

I wasn't there but I think you had a blue jacket and it looked like the story I heard.

You were there. There's plenty of evidence of your presence at BBI17.

I was wearing an orange jacket. The stories are probably similar.

I just moved here last fall and I'm learning that Alpental can be humbling if you don't have a pretty good idea of what's below you.

I had pm'd Big Steve for some local beta, but as he said, we never met until the line for the padded seats that day.

Everybody who had one of your chocolates were too zoned out to pull out their cameras.
