Video TR: JaFebruary 2017
Earlier this month I had to fly through Japan on my way to work so I took a few extra days and went on my first real ski vacation in years. 98% of this video was filmed on one day; the rest of the time was more or less the same.

How many times did you try to move one of those little trees with your hand before you realized they were solid and didn't give?
Reminds me of my trip last year. Well done! Thanks for the stoke.

Awesome...
There are lots of different types of fresh snow: Cascade Concrete, Sierra Cement, cold smoke, Champaign, blower, cream cheese, etc. But out of all the types of fresh that I've skied JaPow is my favorite. I can't wait to get back over there and shred that beautiful white, fluffy goodness...

They are 17/18 Lib Tech MegaPows. 191cm 169-137-154 Inner sidecut radius is straighter, outer sidecut radius is tighter. They were designed to be skied on either foot but I've only skied them with the longer edge on the inside; it makes more sense to me to have the tighter radius on my inside ski/outside edge and I doubt I could deal with the tips pointing out vs. in.
They are ridiculously fun and as you can see from the video - quite maneuverable and nimble in tight trees.Putting the "core" in corporate, one turn at a time.

I'll take a steep-runneld-out-dirty-avalanche-debris-filled-couloir, over deep powder in Japan any day.

looks schweet, though the camera pointing so much down on your helmet felt a bit weird

Nice! Reminded me of my memberberries of Japow. It could very well be the greatest snow on earth.

So many great places to ski and skin, and so little time (and money.) Thanks for letting me see a place I may never ski (read: jealous.)
I agree it is a constitutional right for Americans to be assholes...its just too bad that so many take the opportunity...iscariot
