    Goggle foam repair (again)

Not a lot of luck out there on Google for fixing goggles. Looks like there might be something called foam glue and it may be silicone adhesive based.
I have Goop. I have Silicone adhesive. I could go to the store and get something different. Bob Smith foam glue might not be at any of my local stores. I'll call around or order it if it's really what I need.
If worst comes to worst, I have another pair of goggles, but I like keeping them as back up and not having to swap lenses in an old Phenom, just swap frames. Plus, these look cooler than the other pair, lol.
    Anyway, pic attached.

Same thing happened to my Phenom. Smith warranty process was a breeze. Props to Smith.

For a goggle this old? I think it's at least 8 years old and I'd rather just fix it if I can.

Speaking from experience Super Glue is NOT a good option. Unless you want neon green foam.

A call to Smith didn't seem promising. Nothing against them, it just might be wear and tear. They offer a 50% off thing, but w/e. Silicone adhesive seems promising. Poured some onto a piece of paper and used a tiny zip tie to slip the stuff into the gaps. Hold together for 30 seconds to a minute. It seems to hold. No idea about what happens when I take them skiing, especially if it's teens or below. Don't squeeze too hard as it can permanently flatten the foam a little. Doesn't seem like a big deal on holding it up to my face. Doesn't seem to stink too bad, either.
will update after skiing if it stops raining.

Seam grip that and be done with it. Put the seam grip tube in a jar of hot water to make it flow. Brush a very thin coat on the foam. Attach foam back down. Let sit overnight. Forgetaboutit.

So, the silicone adhesive worked very well for sticking the two layers of foam together, but not so well for the foam to plastic. Tried Goop. Not really. Found some old Elmer's spray on. Seems to be holding. I'm sure this makes sense to someone who knows stuff about chemicals.

The 90 is the real deal. You can also spray a puddle on cardboard and paint it on with a brush. Let it tack up on both sides before sticking them together is the trick to proper adhesion.

I used seam grip on a pair and completely forgot till now. Worked for me, but I am one of those folks that repairs most things with Aquaseal.
