6mm diff between boots in same binding
Problem? No problem? I got some 307mm boots and I picked up some newer full tilts at 301mm. They both clamp in and for all intents and purposes it seems it's not a problem clicking in and trying to get it to release with no clamps though. It really doesn't appear to matter. Am I wrong? Theoretically the shorter boot would be less secure, right?

I would double check your forward pressure indicator (should be a white tab with indented lines on either side). That tab should be even or past those indented lines. Pretty easy to adjust the arms on the heel of the binding to make the FT work. I find that with the Pivots you need to feel out the forward pressure to get it right and not just trust that indicator.

You are wrong. You will need to adjust. Google "Look PX 14 manual." Read about setting forward pressure and follow those instructions. If you have questions then, ask here.
I thought when I was going from a 316mm Fulltilt to a 317mm diabello that I would be fine... but I prereleased twice that first day.
Take the time to set it up right.Best Skier on the Mountain

(Edit: Hadn't refreshed the page before the post above.)
Guroo, I just set a pair of Look SPX12s (should be the same indicator). It's very easy.

A few weeks ago I was skiing Sugar Bowl on a seriously deep day. Forgot that the last time I'd skied Dukes on my Praxis Protests had been with touring soles and I hadn't reset the toe height for the DIN soles I was using. Double ejected on my first run in a situation where I certainly would not have if they had been adjusted correctly. I gave up the skis until spring and started walking down when some dude brought one of them up to me. Loaded the chair with one ski and then one-skied back down and found the other. Super lucky. Learned a lesson there.
