Mimic isn't foam - Mimic is a heat moldable plastic in the ankle area that gives the liner its anatomic shape. This material becomes fully moldable after the heating process and hardens in whatever shape you give it. Underneath that and next to skin is all of the heat moldable foam, which is most likely what will help with reducing pressure that your girlfriend is feeling.

Thanks for clarifying. I failed to do my homework here and that is what the shop told me.

    Do these specs look right?

Those specs have a bunch of errors. Both have 15-17 forward lean. GF finds them too far forward. Her calves were in a lot of pain and ended up skiing them out with the walk lever open. That instantly relieved pain. Do these ultra boots have a 13° plate?

Did she get the short cuff version? And did she take the spoiler off?

No, I never saw a short cuff option. She got the women version. There is no spoiler.

That chart is definitely off. Here's what's wrong: sole type is GW + Tech Inserts, forward lean is 15° or 17°, last width is 98mm (26.5). Other info (like plastics) is correct.

As mentioned above, we do make a 13° flip chip but it needs to be ordered separately with this generation of boot.

Does your girlfriend have larger calf muscles? A larger calf muscle will make a 15° boot feel like 17° or 18° just because the muscle pushes her knee forward. Might be worth a discussion with your boot fitter about flaring the rear portion of the cuff which will allow her calf muscle to sit more appropriately in the cuff.
