    it looks like there are four holes on each ski for the rear binding that don't have inserts. are my eyes just playing tricks on me? what mount would that be for?

    Correct! I forgot to add that. One mount for a plum 165 heel piece. Clearly with inserts already installed, these skis are best suited to someone who is going to use radicals.
