So far so good. Getting the youngin' accustomed to doing his biz outside. First day, a little Natures Miracle was spilled, but as we are keeping a good eye on him, we are seeing him starting scouting out a spot and are getting him outside. Lot of work to do yet, but early returns show promise.
So maybe the rimadyl and tramadol will be what I continue on, but may look into similar cdb (yes it autocorrected) treats. The pills we have are from a script filled over a year ago that seem to be working but may need fresher...but shows how often used as well. Comfort is key, but not at the expense of his aging organs.
And those Greenie Pill Pockets are great. He hates taking pills, and is very wise to our tricks. But finally found a winner with the GPP's.

Youngin' went to door to go out. So proud...this time. Not letting guard down.
Yeah, sometimes have to do things the hard way. A little olive oil or butter coating the pill really helps as it is hard for him to get traction to spit it.

Our now 7.5 yr old golden always meets me at the door with more of a lean on my knees than anything, always ready for our 5 mile runs. Unfortunately the set-up of our our lives is such she doesn't get to swim. Gotta think what is a medium trot for her for 20 miles a week, isn't the best for her, but she's in good shape.
I'd had a full blooded lab before and if god made a more gentle thing than a golden retreiver i haven't found it waitaminute.
what were we talking about? Where did i leave my beerLast edited by MARSHALL TUCKER; 12-28-2016 at 03:37 PM.
