PSA Big Sky Mountain Products Brand New Skins starting at $100
I have a few days on these skins and I have to say I think this is a great value! Sale to the end of the year.
Typically, I have been a mohair guy, but have be pleased with the performance of the skins. They glide pretty good, compare to the natural fibers, grip even better. I personally love the attachments being used. The systems allows you to pick where you want your adjustable tail/tip clip. For example, I flipped the system allowing me to remove the skin while in my bindings from the tip rather than the tail.
I don't have any affiliation with the company, just wanted to promote a good sale.

How does the grip/glide compare to BD Nylon Ascensions?

I haven't used the BD Nylon Ascensions in a handful of years. From what I can remember I would say that the Big Sky Products might glide a bit better, and the grip is on par or comparable. I do like the attachments better that the Ascensions.
s1ammy thanks for the link to the website. I should have put that in my original post.

FYI, these skins are the work of Tom Jungst. You might know him from Warren Miller and Greg Stump films. While hes not running a machine shop, he teaches engineering students at MSU, and still shreds harder than you.
Besides being an absolute badass, Tom is an extremely generous and hard working dude. I highly encourage everyone who needs skins to buy from him. Support a local business, and an awesome dude at the same time.
I haven't used my set yet, so I can't comment on how awesome they are...

Bumping for beta, anyone know what's up with these cats? Been wanting to pick up a pair of skins from these guys but they don't seem to be adding any inventory or answering emails?

I bought some skins from Tom about a month ago. I have to admit he was a bit slow with his email responses, but I was very pleased with the customer service overall. I am very happy with the skins, but I'm new to touring so don't really have a frame a reference.
