Do what every "don't waste your money" segment on every local news station ever says these days:
Post your story to GoPro's faceplace page, twitter page, Instagram and whatever other social platform the kids are using these days. Seems to have pretty good results as companies hate public bad stories on their pages and embrace the opportunity to rectify them in the same public way.
It also has a multiplier effect when others with bad experiences chime in and share or link your story. Companies really don't like that.

actually got it taken care of.
I called customer service yesterday and didn't get the result I had hoped for.....ended up writing an email explaining, in detail, the concern that I had. Got a very favorable response today.
BTW - a few years ago a Patagonia mag helped me out with a problem.....which is why I took this route.
