I'll have to check that out! Def would be interested.

Also wanted to plug my boy (and occasional TGR contributor) Paddy O'Connell's new podcast, Safety Third: http://www.safetythirdpodcast.com/

Awesome cast dealing with real-life topics in the outdoor world, like dealing with death, deciding when what you're pursuing is too dangerous, and even marriage. Really enjoyed it!

Not sure if these have been covered, but a few sweet fiction podcasts:

    Homecoming
    Limetown
    Lifeafter

Fiction podcasts play like old radio dramas with modern production values- pretty damn cool. I HIGHLY recommend 'Homecoming,' the voice talents include Katherine Keener, Oscar Isaac, Amy Sedaris, David Cross and a surprisingly, awesomely villainous David Schwimmer.

He's the one guy I have continually listened to over the years, I haven't skipped a show. Even when it's going bad it's still hilarious because he knows he's digging himself into a hole.

Enormocast although I think it's losing its steam.

    Cocaine and Rhinestones

    Your Favorite Band Sucks

Both are by Tyler Mahan Coe and are totally different but very enjoyable for different reasons.

    The perfect podcast for you dentists;
    “My Dad Wrote a Porno”
The guys Dad really did write a porno. He and his two friends take a chapter each week and dissect it. It’s about the funniest thing I’ve ever heard, and my commute just got a lot more interesting.

Listen to quite a few pods regularly, for whatever that pod didn’t hook me; maybe it was the hosts, not saying they’re bad just not my sense of humor.

That being said several of my friends love it.

If you like serial or shit town, check out In The Dark. Season 2 is especially good. It’ll make you realize just how fucked up our justice system is.

Voices of the First World War.

Dan Snow brings together the sound archive collections of the Imperial War Museums and the BBC to tell the story of World War I through the voices of those who were there.

Kristi Leskinen and Jen Hudak just started one called Balanced Pursuits. I only caught the Chris Davenport interview, but I liked it...

I also came across "The Avalanche Hour" Podcast- anyone listening to it?

I've started the Avalanche Hour. I don't find it as engaging as Slide (which I miss), but it is still good material on the drive to a tour. The Irwin Guides interview recently was good.

There’s a podcast called Thunder Bay, it’s sort of a true crime show, but it goes into the seedy underbelly and recent history of the town.

Good take on media / news coverage: WNYC's "On the Media" https://www.wnycstudios.org/shows/otm . Comes out weekly on Friday night or Saturday a.m. so good weekend driving listen. Strong appeal for NPR nerds whatever news you follow it'll give a good take on who's covering it, why, and how with bigger cultural or historical context than the breathless headless that make up the daily news grind.

You might have heard of this Donald Trump fellow, and his legal and business complications.

If so, then for legal check out Stay Tuned with Preet -- https://www.npr.org/podcasts/5517917...ned-with-preet -- weekly pod from the former US Attorney for the SDNY and former counsel to Senate Justice committee, Preet Bharara (who DJT fired for failure to kiss the ring). First 15 minutes or so of each show is Preet answering questions about current legal developments. A great contrast to the shouting matches on cable and instant analysis by inexperienced journos - he knows the process and the substantive law, he knows the players, and he readily acknowledges what he doesn't know. After that, conversations with authors, candidates, other public figures.

And for business (legal or otherwise) - Trump Inc., also WNYC : https://www.wnycstudios.org/shows/trumpinc . Investigative work from WNYC, Pro Publica, and crowd-sourced tips. Not weekly, just whenever they've broken a story or developments warrant. Sometimes minor (e.g., illegal private profit on presidential-seal golf-tees), sometimes huge (e.g., Russian money-laundering at Trump casinos in the 90s; great synthesis of the Fred Trump to DJT generation tax fraud if you couldn't get through all 10,000 print pages).

Stay Tuned with Preet Bharara, the man that Trump fired before Comey or Mueller, because he wouldn't kiss his ring. Just listened to a recent one where he talks to Kenneth Feinberg, the man who has made a career out of handing out both public and private compensation to victims, the most famous were the 9/11 funds. Good stuff.

If you're a Michael Lewis fan, he has a new podcast all about referees and the threat to their existence in our society. It's called Against the Rules. Good stuff.

Thats going to be a new low. Listening to either do talking ads for Simply Safe or web site hosting companies. Of course, they can go to this new pay model that some are trying, but, who the fuck would pay for that? Oh, wait, the same that paid for seats on their latest tour, I guess.

Last Podcast on the Left - Comedy true crime. Gets pretty raunchy, but it's funny and pretty informative. Last Podcast network has several podcasts that are worth a listen (Wizard and the Bruiser, Abe Lincoln's Tophat, and Movie Sign With the Mads).

Astonishing Legends. I have to pick and choose, as they can get pretty out there and I'm not into the ghost and alien episodes...and they're sometimes longer than they need to be due to rambling.

I'll second or whatever Revisionist History by Malcolm Gladwell. Same with Hardcore History.
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.
