Greetings boston mags. I'm moving out of my 2br in 1 month, it's a great unit in the cambridge/inman area with lots of room, a yard, and parking. If anyone is interested PM me. They're showing it now but is a great place that might be hard to find through other channels. Dont know if there's a broker fee involved, there's a chance there isnt.

Who the hell still lives in Boston?

We've been in Boston for 10 years but we're looking to get out soon. Boston is great when you're 25 then the novelty wears off at age 35 with a wife and a kid.

Not that far, LOL. Lincoln, a northwest suburb. But unlike Boston there are trees, awesome running and biking trails, and it's somewhat closer to the mountains, so I'm stoked. Plus will have luxuries like a garage, a basement, a yard...

DS, welcome to the hood. Lincoln's 15-30 minutes to Cambridge/Boston and f' BL... Decordova is sometimes open until 9.

Cat Rock is essentially in Lincoln and Mt Misery has some fun trails. Fireworks are almost as good, too.

15 to Cambridge, 30 to Logan...

So not really Wellesley numbers, but you can't afford that town.

Thanks man! Good to know there are mags in the area. I was worried that my rock and roll lifestyle might be too much for the town, lol.

Although I'm not looking forward to the 8:00 PM closings, the lack of take-out options compared to Cambridge, and having a commute (although flexible work hours helps with that), I'm beyond stoked to live in a quiet place. Love to cycle so looking forward to living on awesome roads for that, and once the dust settles on the move/new home I am thinking a cross/mountain bike might be in order.

Do people x-country ski the trails in the winter?

Great Brook Farm State Park is esstentially in my backyard. Decent Mountain Biking, they groom it out for skiing in the winter and they have ice cream and animals to feed if you've got a little one or two when the weather warms up. We really liked Lincoln but just couldn't find something that would have worked for us.

My Commute is now twice as long mile wise, but since I'm not driving through the Arlington, Cambridge, Belmont shit show its only about 10 minutes longer.

Shit doesnt close at 8, there's tons of places open much later than that. I'm from Acton which is right next to Concord/Lincoln and I can think of plenty of places that are open til 10 or later in the area.

^Sagamoron, you're out here now, too?... there goes the neighborhood. DJ is right, too... Acton is home of the action. At least two good brew pubs and live entertainment venues. Concord has had a few great new restaurants open in the past couple years, too. Trails End in Lincoln (and Concord) is decent and owned by a friend. You're likely to see Doris Kearns Goodwin at the Concord Trails End hanging at the bar.

Great Brook is awesome (as long as there's snow). Leo Martin Golf course makes snow in Weston. I know DS is a serious rando maniac, so I doubt I'll be "leading" any tours, but it would be fun start out together, perhaps!

So many great places to cross country, mountain bike, dog walk, etc. Just stay out of Estabrook Woods for another month or so: http://concord.wickedlocal.com/news/...ods-in-concord

Concord is still the only place I've been able to find a Brigham's ice cream milkshake (or as you Boston savages call, a frappe).

Brigham's used to be all over the place years ago, they've contracted drastically. It used to be the go-to in the day.

edit: google sez they went bankrupt back in '09, I guess that's why

Yeah, retail stores went down with the BK. Believe the family that owns New England Development bought the brand so obviously you can still get the pints at the grocery store (Mocha Chip imho is my favorite), but had heard of the locations and there is a diner in Concord that still makes shakes with Brighams.
