    Your Favorite Photos of 2016

I was just perusing a similar thread on Fred Miranda of the best landscape shots of 2016, and it was full of awesomeness... so let's see what we can put together here. I know there are some sick photogs, so let's see your best or favorite shots from the last year. Try to keep it to the top 3-5 shots.

    I'll start:

No, I don't think so, at least I've never heard it called that. What's horseshoe? This is at the bottom of Grafton, in the Gooseberry Mesa area.

Great idea for a thread, and stunning shots so far from everyone!

I've had a varied year in terms of photography -- tried to branch out from beyond the usual landscapes.

Nice idea steve. Cutting it down to 5 was hard. Some really cracking pics so far, solid landscapes and bike stoke.

I've seen these compilation threads on FM as well... I'm stoked to see a greatest hits record here on TGR.

Photography-wise, I'd say I had a slow-ish year. For some reason, I didn't shoot a lot in the spring. And I had plenty of opportunities as I got out on the skintrack often.

But I am going through a career change, working full time in my old job, finishing a degree in elementary education (along with practicums and internships) and added a little girl to the family this year. Photography was close to home, some extra money in the bank account, or sentimental. As few clicks as I got on my camera, I feel a little like I'm quoting my POTD thread posts.

    and I'm breaking the rules...

This thread rocks. So many good shots. Hard to narrow down to five, but these are a decent set for now.

Nice pics rubicon, looks like quite the adventure. If you've got any links, I'd be interested in seeing more of your trip pics. Especially of virunga. One of my very favorite places ive ever been, hoping to get back there again next year.

Thanks Mike. I hear you about Virunga. I was ready to go back as soon as I got home. The place is amazing. Mt Kenya was the reason for the trip and Virunga got added on at the last minute. Didn't really know what was there so we didn't spend a lot of time in the park. What pictures I have posted can be found here:

2016 was an interesting year for me. It was easily my most fruitful as far as writing and shooting skiing goes, and I traveled all over the world, but I really shot a lot less than in years past. I'm excited to see what 2017 brings.

A couple of mine. All were from my phone and not nearly as impressive as the collective.
