Photo is on the ridge between Birthday Chutes and Tri Chutes, probably about 10,700'. Interestingly, the drifts on the Tri Chutes face itself were pretty welded. Some reactive drifts by Rainbow Peak as well.

btw what's up with people putting skinners over cornices? saw a group remote triggered one yesterday and today from east bowl pass up to dav there's a track not 6" from a probably 2' overhung cornice. guess the instinct for self preservation isn't equally strong in all of us.

Not sure, but I saw some folks hitting one of the gaps out there on Sunday... maybe pyramid? Around 9500' and SE of east bowl pass... and didn't look like a 150 footer. After one guy slammed into the wall I decided that my "stay on the ground mostly" approach to skiing is going to keep on working just fine for me

After a week or so of dealing with pneumonia and FOMOing over all the powder shots the plague broke and I ventured out into a foreign, almost alien world of deep snow and sun.

greeting to the wasatch, been skiing out here over the years, out here for the season. it snows out here, sometimes 300 inches in less than 2 months, go figure.
if you know of, or are a solid carpenter, i just pulled the trigger on the van life, mobile command!
i've done a few roofs and other construction, out in SLC and needing a lead w tools for a simple, solid and legit insulating, panel and trim work. have access to some tools. am thinking 25/30 per hr cash, 2 solid days should bang it out.
plus beers, stories, food etc on me, let me know, i'm on bengal by the base of big. i can do it myself but a for- real solid person next to me would be nice, and is worth 500 cash for 2 solid days of work.
thanks! looking at almost 60 days in by the end of this month. boom.

Fun outing on Kessler yesterday. More extreme uphill travel techniques than im used to. Snow was a bit dense coming down but fun to get on a classic!"We're in the eye of a shiticane here Julian, and Ricky's a low shit system!" - Jim Lahey, RIP

Got out to Spanish Fork Peak Sunday with gnarchived and two non-mags(to my knowledge). It did not suck. Great pow in sheltered areas, other areas, more breakable crust. Was pretty sweet going up into the clouds and above. Vis was terrible on the way down though.
Song for the day:
Getting above the clouds...
I love pics of people as they get (near) the top...so much stoke and great attitudes...
I don't always summit peaks in Utah county, but when I do, I prefer a beer
it was so good, it deserved a photo without beer and myself:

Its always a good day getting out with SFB
This fucken thing had me crying for mamma today.
Skintrack stoke
Scenics
No instabilities noted throughout silver and days. Loud pow, surface whores and some good sluffs. Green avy light and blue skis such an awesome day. There is untracked to be found if you work for it. We did and found it. No action shots lets see what sfb digs out of that old point n shoot. Unemployment is growing on me. Lets do it again tomorrow!Bunny Don't Surf
Have you seen a one armed man around here?
