Work is buying me a sweet jacket - suggestions?

My 10-year work anniversary is approaching at my job, and they typically buy a gift around $1k for employees. I figured it would be a good opportunity to get a jacket that i otherwise could never justify purchasing. Narrowed it down to a few options below. I need XL or XXL since i have super long arms and i'm 6'2" and not exactly skinny

    Patagonia Powslayer
    Norrona Trollveggen
    Volcom Guide
    Orage Rambler

Anyone have any positive or negative things to say about any of these? How about fit for my gangly arms? Any new manufacturers i may have missed in my break from gear-whoring? FWIW I tried on a Flylow XL jacket recently and the arms were too short, but Arcteryx XL arms were fine when i tried that one.

You should look at the Colorado Freeride Systems jackets, too. Their jackets run large.

I was just thinking of getting this Ted Baker sportcoat on sale at Nordstrom. I think they'd appreciate your frugality.

A decent Bogner is $1500 or so. I'd wait 5 more years and ask for the one you really want.

Wait. You can get any gift for around $1K and you want a jacket?? Does not compute.

You can get any one of those for a couple hundred when they go on sale.

My wife and I got new custom Praxis, (Praxie?), for just a bit more than that. So if it's gotta be a jacket, here's the 1st thing that comes up after I type $1000 jacket:

I mean, personally I'd get a new set of wood veneer ON3P Billies. I think jacket is maybe not the best gift allocation but that is my own personal feelings. If you do end up getting a jacket make sure it suits your needs, I'm a big fan of the Polartec Neoshell material. Super stretchy, breathable, waterproof, pretty ideal for 98% of days you'll spend on the mountain. Strafe Exhibition is a pretty awesome jacket you might want to check out as well.

The II is great! Got one last week but I believe it was their last XL of the season.
Why don't you go practice fallin' down? I'll be there in a minute.

Arc'teryx has long arms. Ice climbers are typically reaching overhead a lot. I have this (too short arms/sleeves) problem, and my dirty bird shell and jacket are fine in this regard.

I'd also look at Freeride Systems - 'coz they're small guyz and I always pull for them - especially when they're working hard to do the right thing.

You should get the Patagonia powslayer last jacket you'll need to buy. And they are 1/2 of your 1000.00 budget.
