^^^I gotta try that someday. Kinda thinking that it's gotta be oven baked though.. That bacon grease running down would blow up on the grill..

    My favorite Thanksgiving movie scene..

Double ovens are like awd. Don't need it most of the time, but there are certain occasions where they are required.

I must have posted a pic over the years of bacon wrapped turkey. Either here or ttips. I don't ever cook a whole bird. Fir years it was appendages off whole breast with a weave of bacon draped over it. This year I cut it in half and removed most of the bones, with bacon draped over it. No pics. And my 16yo ate 5 portions in 4 bites. So there's only a couple sammiches worth leftover.

Cork was surprisingly in great shape and came out in two clean pieces. Drank incredibly well with good structure despite being in decline.

Also had a chance to make the first batch of cranberry gin + tonics of the season.

Also there was a turkey and all the trimmings which was great. I’m stuffed.

Way to go big with the Cakebread.

Today was awesome. Family, food and a safe retreat from the pressures of the world out there. A couple days of turns on snow yesterday and the day before, a couple more days this weekend, and things are right in the world.

Happy thanksgiving to all of you. Hope your days and meals were something to remember.
