    I think shoe color is another metric that can’t be ignored.

    And front tire pressures, easily watts lost there that DH could quantify, extrapolated against shoe colour of course

    Garage is still enough of a wreck that I don't have a pain cave set up yet, plus I think I'll have dry dirt for the foreseeable even as we get deeper into winter. The new town seems to be good like that: continental divide is 20 minutes up the road but town is a donut hole in the rain shadow of said divide. No doubt I'll get back on Zwift, but I'm not in a hurry to do so, yet.

    I'm back into winter training with a couple trainer rides per week. Unlikely I join the group rides unless I am feeling really amped up.

I almost wish I had documented it because sometimes I would be amazed how high it was on what would normally be a pretty mild effort.

    Zwift has been clutch in just getting a half hour, hour, even 15 minutes of something in even when I can't leave the house. You can be all snobby about only riding outside or whatever but when your ass has to be in the house there is nothing better than getting in a group ride with a baby monitor next to you.

    For sure. If I didn't work out at home I'd probably never work out at all. Got a new mountain bike this year and thought I'd get a bunch of rides in, made it out all of seven times. Seven road rides too. But over 150 indoor rides. It certainly isn't the same but it beats getting fat and out of shape.

    Ugh thoughts and prayers, been there. Now riding w my kids and all those horrible solo (pre Zwift) trainer miles pay off even years later.

    Well it’s called that NOW…

    I’m planning on showing up. Current waiting for novacane to work to get a filling replaced, which fucking sucks, but if that doesn’t derail me I’ll suit up.

    Godspeed gentlemen. I’m stuck in the office today. Hope to make it Thursday but I’m getting my Moderna 5G booster in the morning so it’ll be dependent on if I’m miserable yet.

    MP= VTskibum
    SC= mescalito
    TA= lowagriz
    FT= EWG

    Lots of old faces, and some new ones too.
    We rode as a pack and regrouped both times after the climb.

    Thanks for organizing. Good group ride.

    Not sure what we did last year. But self limiting the first lap climb to 3w/kg, then 2nd lap to 4w/kg might keep us together better. Lap 3 naturally sees a push at the overpass which is nice. Let the leaders duke it out from there.

    The 6 of us tonight were:
    DH - Dee Hubbs
    TA - Lowagriz
    SS - Merlyn
    Satori (8am local time for him!)
    Wendigo
    Falcon

    We had different fitness levels, but stayed as a group, regrouped after the “leg snapper” climb, and some even dropped out early.

    I want to stress it’s not a race or a ego power play, the goal is to get a workout and shoot the shit about skiing, weather, Benny and TGR all things.
    See ya Tuesday.
