    Sammy Carlson: To Be

    This is absolutely insane.

"Have you ever seen a monk get wildly fucked by a bunch of teenage girls?" "No" "Then forget the monastery."

"You ever hear of a little show called branded? Arthur Digby Sellers wrote 156 episodes. Not exactly a lightweight." Walter Sobcheck.

"I didn't have a grandfather on the board of some fancy college. Key word being was. Did he touch the Filipino exchange student? Did he not touch the Filipino exchange student? I don't know Brooke, I wasn't there."

While I think he's got balls for going big etc... There is no real skiing in there. Maybe I'm just old but I like to see people link some turns with good form. To me this video is just a bunch of hucking shit and check turns.
Took me like 10 minutes to figure out how to change this shit

Wut he said. Perfect snown conditions make it coo. Kids got amazing balance but it'd be so much nicer to see some real turns instead of hockey stops on water skis.

I watched a few seconds of his skiing and thought the same thing. Lots of flail. Respect the send!

Impressive, but most of it looks like the same 7 second clip on loop. And none of it looked like skiing that skiers know. I think these edits are made for the gratification of the "athlete" and sponsors, not for skiers.

Anyone complaining needs to hand in their fat skis and get their AARP card on their way out. You must already have your PSIA cards, so no need to wait for that.

I love the requisite shot of outrunning the almost-intentionally caused avalanche.
then a bonus shot of the rad little dude going through a concussion protocol.
all in the first couple of minutes

really needs to demonstrate his manhood?
next time I want to see footage of the skull split open.
grey brain , red blood and deep deep silky pow would make for a well-composed shot.

    sick!

Maybe Sammy needs to throw down with Candide. That would really bring out the idiots.

Candide is a stronger skier on bigger lines.

I loved the video, but already knew that I wasn't going to be watching great turns. That opening pow seg was ridiculously deep.

He's likely better than 98% of any skiers here, so whatever. That was a dopeass clip and his steez is kudo worthy. Loved it. Loved the content. Loved the variety. Straight up awesome fun loose and groovy rippin'... Zero problems with any of it.

I agree. I'm really tired of these shots that glorify skiing out of slides. For lack of a better word, it's stupid. Even with well-known skiers dying in avalanches in the past few years, it's managed to remain a practically mandatory shot in ski movies. If I wanted to watch people making bad choices, there's no shortage of that on the internet.

I love the way lovers hate the way haters hate.

It was very impressive, just.... Look how good I am, repeatedly.

Fuck, I'm stoked that it didn't start with some reflective winter scenes, somber atmosphere acoustic music, and a creaky ambient voice-over like someone remembering a long lost friend. Way too self important and not fun at all.

I'll take show-off over self-important. But four minutes is enough.
