What do they mean by a ski resort actually? Is this something lost in translation? They're only looking at 600 skating rinks, but 800 resorts??

Trump is right, sometimes. Fucking China. In fifty years there's going to be all of this shit they built just rusting and being grown over.

^^^^ everyone thinks the Chinese are smart
I don’t get that. On some level indoor skiing is cool to get people into the sport. Or just get midsommar fix.
But a gondola indoors?
Although The train seems cool.
But then the talking head said it offers unlimited economic development? wtf china
Indoor skiing causes global warming. Then again we may all be skiing indoors someday.
They are drowned
Or maybe we all are drowned.Kill all the telemarkers
But they’ll put us in jail if we kill all the telemarkers
Telemarketers! Kill the telemarketers!
Oh we can do that. We don’t even need a reason

China only cares about winning medals. Most of their resorts are little Buck Hill type of training facilities. Being able to train recruits,
24/7/365 will be a big advantage.

I'm trying to remember if it was Salt Lake Olympics when China started to pay attention to skiing, their original plan was to take older/retiring gymnasts and have them huck their meat in aerials. They hired an acquaintance from the Canuck national team for way too much money to train them. IIRC he lasted a month because at the time he said there was no way he could accomplish what they wanted in the time allotted without killing most of the athletes.
