I don't know. I've met Scotty and we got along just fine. But there's a good chance we just put a Chavez or Mugabe or Putin in office. If that's the case, then we aren't talking about normal political bickering that can be dismissed so blithely. It also precludes people making excuses for it from being "good guys."

Politicians often don't fulfill campaign promises, but they usually try! This one promised to jail political opponents and curtail the freedom of the press. Maybe he won't do it, but if he does, there won't be stickers for today's kindergarten kids when they turn 18. That's not hyperbole: that's fact.
