The PNW Advantage Pass was still available this year though March 1st; my brother renewed his and I fucked up and forgot to buy one (https://www.stevenspass.com/site/pas...advantage-pass). I'd like to hope they offer them again next year as it's a pretty good deal if you're holding a pass elsewhere and only make it a few days. I was a pass holder at Stevens last year and my brother actually spent less on tix than I did on the pass based on our visits.

FWIW, the Four Day Powder Pack isn't horrible if you're only going to cherrypick a few days and the Black Friday deal at $54 (through midnight tonight) isn't too bad compared to the holiday rate of $74, which you'll only be lucky enough to pay if you can find parking.

For me, Ullr willing I'll be at the big Windy on Friday as well

Nice pictures Aaron! Love that view and I used to love seeing it on my way to work everyday! Conditions look a lot better than things are looking in my part of the world.

Garfield Mountain. Not sure if it's named for the President or the cartoon cat.

It was a beautiful morning up on Burch. I need a better camera than my phone though.

So Xstal announced that they will spin chair 6 this Saturday. What are the odds they open it up Friday afternoon instead? Also, are they roping off a bootpack to the top of powderbowl, or is that fair game if you can get there right now?

They have had a no climbing notice posted for powder bowl so far.

Doubt it will change before they open 6.

Isn't opening day just neat? cw: bigass photos

    Early laps on Brooks

Midday fog settled-in just as Hogsback cracked

    Coverage varies considerably

More snow necessary for Tye Mill & DD

Although some folks got after it anyways

Probably the same folks that hammered this face

Skier's left shoulder from 7th -> top of Hogs goes as does the main gut of the bowl (w/ lots o pillows)

    Stashes abound...

    ...as do pillows

If you could traverse to it, it was hammered. If you had to walk a few mins up a packed track? Not so much

Who's ready to take a lap?

Supposed to be lowland snow in Western Washington next week. Typically that means not a ton of moisture around, but at least we won't need to worry about freezing levels for a while.

Snow fun for everyone - or not...

Nice shot of Garfield - Reminds me why I love the Cascades so much.

Stretched the legs a few times over the weekend to see how the local conditions were.

It was still pretty bony, ~24-36" @4-5K but much improved by Sun/Mon. Poor vis kept me from getting much view off the backside.

A little bird told me that tomorrow will be good times at the 2 resort with expanded terrain and plenty of deep, fresh turns

Looked like they were gearing up to open 7th and Tye.

Snow conditions and coverage up there are really good right now. It's over knee deep in spots. Really good skiing and the place was a ghost town.

It's been awhile since I was round these parts, but I'll be at Stevens tomorrow.
