Used to eat at the Inn Bin at 8th and Market. Our son was born in Ballard Hospital in '88 when we lived near 14th. Blue Moon...my band was supposed to play there one night, then Elvis died so everyone was glued to the TV and we didn't play a note. Favorite show there...Bo Diddley! Drove by Beth's the other day, always miss going around the bend and seeing the Twin Teepees. And can you believe it, Dick's takes cards now, no longer cash only! Watching Almost Live! right now. Almost forgot, sledding down View Ridge hill on sleds in the winter and on cardboard in summer!
Wild. We lived @ 63rd, just W. of 8th. I tele'ed phinney ridge a couple of times. First date with my wife was @ the Inn Bin, loved that place.
I saw GONG for the first time at the Backstage.

And I was a little north of y'all. I don't remember exact address, but I know it was just a couple/few blocks south of the 74th street ale house, and right where things flatten (walk east and go uphill, walk west and flat), but don't member where that would be, maybe 71st and ?

Member when Maritime Pacific was the only brewery in Ballard?

...I suppose some of you remember the original Redhook location, but that's before my time. They moved to Phinney Ave in Fremont in 1989.

That prompted me to track down this old photo of my friends band playing at one of Maritime's private pig roast parties way back when. I think the band was called "Fedora" during this iteration.

I was at about 45th and 1st. Frequented most of the joints already mentioned but any of you procure various sundries at Oh No, Mr. Bill's!? 20 years ago they had a weird side room with a ping pong table and all but empty shelves.

I memba stopping off on the mountain road to Stowe (in the late '60's through early '80's), to increase my collection of Moriarty hats, and Ma Moriarty ringing up the sale.

Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

And they should have. That Denny's had a fucking bar in it. It was like a local dive that served moons over my hammy.

I don't remember Oh No, Mr. Bill's but Archie McPhee's on Stone Way is the ultimate store for Stuff. Thought I heard it moved back to Stone Way after being way out on Market for years.

Still freaks me out to drive by Denny's and see a giant wall of buildings.
