A friend of mines girlfriend worked at Murphys in the early 80s.

She was a svelt slip of a girl with classic black Irish features of jet black hair and blue eyes.

I was lucky enough to be there one evening as she fielded a call from someone looking for a friend, so she walked about yelling for 'Mike Hunt'.

She brought me a free Guinness after I flagged her down and explained.

But I was always more of a Blue Mooner, until I got dragged into a fight up at Dicks on 45th. Before that, I used to sneak my then underage girlfriend into the moon after I discovered that she rips on skis.

You must not be as old of a goat as I thought you were because Dick Barrymore was giving ski movies a story line since at least 1967 with his classic "Last of the Ski Bums".

As far as Deep Throat is concerned I think you are right on it's impact it had on adult film structure but arguably more significant is it's impact on blow job technique, Linda's prowess with a stiff rod and uncanny ability to swallow without choking was ground breaking and forever changed the oral sex landscape.

I still hang out at the College Inn Pub (mostly on Mondays when the nachos are half-priced) but I didn't when I lived in Lander. As sad as it was to see the old south campus housing go, I shed no tears as Mercer, Terry & Lander were pretty horrible dorms to live in with sub-par food to boot.

Some friends & I rented a house from the former owner of Murphy's a few years back - he wasn't a great landlord but at least he bought us pitchers while we signed paperwork at the bar.

Yes, I memba Sunset Bowl and the U-District IHOP. I also memba when Snoqualmie Pass closed more often for avy control than spinouts.

I memba Food Giant! I used to play at Murphy's original location. Half of our (Wild Rose Stringband) live album was recorded there by Kearny Barton's Audio Recording. the other half at the G-Note Tavern. Memba the G-Note in Greenwood? Lots of good times at both those places.
