This is a fair point. It's just that Prime Cut was first, man. Pisses me off that they neutered it. I knew every downhill corner and how to hit it...

You talking about the big slab?
Yeah. Wasn't sure of the rules and didn't feel like being a dick. Did make "braaaaaaaaap" noises and throttle motions whenever we passed motos, but that's sorta par for the course.

Yep. Slab with a little boulder line to the left, or the big kid line over the slab.

Didn't mean to open an 18 Road can of worms haha! This weekend was my first time down there. Fun little trail system with the highest concentration of sprinter vans and total gapers I've ever seen. Got to watch one lady ghost ride the (rental) whip on every descent on Zippity Do Da. One time it almost took out her group of friends below. What a world!

You remember when there WAS no other line - it was just the slab. Then the fucking gapers burned in the line around it, and then some fucking douchebag actually cut a large branch off the juniper so that you didn't even have to duck to ride around the slab.

Meh, I’d rather people create ride around lines than attempt to neuter whatever was too difficult for them - that’s 100x worse in my book.
I ski 135 degree chutes switch to the road.

FTS. If it's too hard, fucking walk it. Quit riding around it.

I don't mind an "A" and "B" line - but the trend toward just fucking blowing the existing track out to go around any rocks, roots, drops, etc. is fucking irritating.

Oh - and for the record: no being "realistic" in the rant thread.

Yes for sure. I mean a clearly designated alternate line vs just turning everything into a ghetto fire road...

No problem with those alt lines. They are actually a good idea. Sounds like we're in agreement.

And I was bitching about the filling in of the lines, like at Hall Ranch, with soil to make them easier. I'm ok with workarounds - just don't dumb the whole fucking trail down. There are plenty of easy trails. Hall even has a backside that's easy. Why dumb down the front?

^^^ he probably wouldn't be rolling his tires off the rim in every corner if his bike wasn't so damn heavy.

Didn’t say that. Just looks less fun than a regular FS bike.

This^^^. What do you have pano d? A lot of good options now. Rocky, norco, commencal, bmc, yt. I'm still undecided but leaning towards the new yt decoy

I hear people say that a lot, but it's a terrible argument.

"My new Chevy Sonic is so much better than my old Ford Pinto." Yeah, no shit. That doesn't mean the Sonic isn't a steaming pile though.

Making a bike that's better than a flexy 50 lb deathtrap with a 70* head angle and suspension that was pulled off a dirt bike is a pretty low bar.

Dude you're exaggerating again. I guess you didn't watch the comparison vid from Luca Cometti I posted a few posts up thread. You can plainly see the eeb is more settled. Times are close but the eeb is quicker. Apples to apples or your arguement loses all credibility
To the og rant about all this. Why in fuck is he ranting about someone on an eeb that cant make it up a climb? What a fucknut. How does that affect his day? If the guy on the eeb had climbed by him over the rock and him, and his whole group fucked it, he'd whine about that. I bet the fkn guy and his whole group is a bunch of punters as well/rant

Things I'd like to rant about? Fucking drivers, man. Been getting a lot of shitty, dangerous behavior lately. Like easter sunday, I'm out for a nice road ride. It's sunny, it's warm, roads are nearly deserted. And yet, a passing driver feels the need to just miss me while blaring the horn and also flip me off out the window. Straight, open road, not another car in sight. I guess once you get out of church you've done your good deed for the week and can go back to treating other people like shit.

Been meaning to pick up some cameras to just record front and rear video at all times while on the road. Maybe some used gopro sessions?
