Killington is reporting 12", I'd say I saw similar amounts. Just imagine if it were drier. I had the Fischer Ranger 108 today, plenty of rocker and float.

Periods of heavy, heavy snow throughout the morning, a few tiny creek crossings but everything on the main trails seems covered up for the most part. Praying it survives these two warm-ups I see on the forecast.

Wow, glad to hear that fun turns were made in all that new snow at Hike-o/Pico this morning!

I think that snowpack should last for a pretty long time up high on the mountain, especially the skier's left of Upper 49'er.
(Wind strips all the snow from the other side of the trail -- yesterday the base depth was already at least a couple feet deep in many places.)

Jay skied great. It rained in the parking lot but was all snow up above. Snow was wet but not mank. Super fun day.

Nevermind. It's not an article about Magic Mtn. Instead it is an article about Renoun Skis.

Has anyone here actually skied on a set of those yet?

I took a lap with the dog and skied some super-low-angle hardwoods today. Nice to be out and about on skis, even though this snow will likely be gone by tomorrow. I'm claiming first turns in the Hinterlands, just 'cause no one else is.

That looks better than pretty much everything I saw from last "winter".

There is so much going on in Vt, Nh, Me and Quebec with legally cutting woods trails both at the resorts and non lift served. I would guess skiable terrain has expanded by 25% in the last 3 years and will likely expand by another 25% in the next two years. This is all natural terrain with no snow making.

Think it is going to be a good year

Not sure accurate this is, but reflects the precip. since the snow started. Currently 35` bob with something that is decidedly not snow falling.

    Hey photos everyone !

I'm hoping to take a day trip tomorrow for a lap or two. Would love an opinion if Pico is still skiable or if there's substantialy more snow at Jay, both are equal distance from home (central whites).

Anyone care to make a recommendation?

Oftentimes yes. Particularly if said party involves downhill schuss on fluff with maggots. After two winters without a single day on skis I'm feeling the fever again.

Thought I posted these already, but now they are gone?

Photos Dalton took yesterday at Jay.

At about 3,300 feet, the snow flakes got HUGE. Wish I had a picture but they were each at least an inch in diameter, some more than 2.

K'ton with MNIAW and some non-mags was fun today. There was nice cream cheese if you dug it out of the edges.

    CCC Trail Update:
Coppermine is good to go. New flowing line bypasses narrow hiker section between 2350' and 2400'.

It is a bypass! You've got to build bypasses!
